Spherical roller bearings are bearings with drum-shaped spherical rollers assembled between an inner ring with two raceways and an outer ring with spherical raceways. Spherical roller bearings have single or double row rollers.Spherical roller bearings are divided into two different structures: symmetrical spherical rollers and asymmetrical spherical rollers according to the cross-sectional shape of the rollers.

According to whether the inner ring has ribs or not and different  cage used, it can be divided into C type and CA type. The characteristic of C-type bearing is that the inner ring has no ribs and adopts steel stamping cage, while the characteristic of CA-type bearing is that there are ribs on both sides of the inner ring and   adopts a machined  solid cage.

Spherical roller bearing   has high radial load capacity and can also bear axial load acting in both directions, but cannot bear pure axial load. Generally speaking, the allowable working speed of spherical roller bearings is relatively low, so it is especially suitable for working under heavy or vibration loads and low speed conditions.
